The secret to the best chocolate chip cookies you will ever taste is browned butter. Now that I have tried it, I will never go back. I found this recipe on TikTok @bromabakery.
First thing to do is brown the butter. Take 3/4 cups of unsalted butter and add it to a saucepan on low heat. Melt down, then the butter will start to bubble and it will turn an amber color. Remove from heat and pour into a heat-safe bowl, making sure you get all the brown bits. At this point, I place it in the fridge to chill for a few minutes while I get everything else ready.

When it’s cooled a little, add the cooled browned butter, 1 cup of brown sugar and 1/4 granulated sugar to a bowl. Mix until just incorporated.

Then add one egg, one egg yolk and 1 tablespoon of vanilla And mix.

Add 1 3/4 cups of flour, 3/4 teaspoons baking soda, and1 teaspoon salt. Mix until just incorporated.

Once incorporated add chocolate chips and/or chocolate chunks. Mix until incorporated.

Roll into equal sized balls, I added a small chunk of chocolate on the top of each cookie dough ball. I placed them on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper and placed them in the freezer for 15 minutes. Before placing them in the oven at 350° I set them out to come to room temperature a little.

When the oven was preheated, I baked the cookies at at 350° for about 12 minutes. When they come out of the oven, sprinkle them with sea salt. Let them cool for a few minutes then place on a cooling rack.

Enjoy! If you are local check out our social media pages for where we are selling these this week!
