Today, we are doing things a little differently, my 10 year old made delicious biscuits 100% by herself and wanted to showcase them. She took her own pictures and wrote out her own recipe. This recipe was found in the kids cookbook Baking Class by Deanna F. Cook. Let's get right into it.
2 cups of flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon salt
5 tablespoon cold butter
3/4 cup milk
Mix the dry ingredients together. Cut the butter and put it in a bowl. Use a pastry cutter or a spoon mix the dough until it is crumbly.
Pour the milk in. Stir until it forms a rough ball.
Put the dough on a table dust it with flour. Knead the dough a few times. Then shape into a ball.
Pat the dough into a flat circle about a 1/2" thick.
Dip a cookie cutter or a cup in flour. Place them apart on parchment paper. Bake the biscuits at 425°F for 12 minutes.
